Pisces the Two Fishes – The Sign of Nothing and Everything:

This newsletter is about ambiguity – about great revelations and mass confusions – about expansion of consciousness and drugged dreams – about high hopes and grand disappointments; in short, about the history of the human experience of life on earth.

The ancient God, Neptune, who is the ruler of the sign of Pisces, is the deity who controls the seas, the weather, the great unpredictable storms, along with the marvelous ambiance and clarity felt while sailing the calm and embracing ocean in the best of times.

He controls the layers surrounding our psyches that dictate the “reality” in which we seem to exist; something like the Central Control of the aliens in the movie “The Matrix”. On the evil side of things, he is the global cartel of drug lords that makes billions of dollars addicting us and killing us. He is the self-appointed head of a cult who arms with weapons and promises its mentally enslaved members an exclusive form of salvation, until they die. He is the political autocrat who, while ruling a nation, spreads lies at every turn and invades a nearby nation. There is an ancient Buddhist warning: “If you see the Buddha on the road, slay him.” Vladimir Putin, the dictator of Russia, is an example of serial lying at every turn, as he sets his guns on taking over the Ukraine whose mineral resources are enormous, defy NATO, and re-establish the old Soviet Union’s dominance over Eastern Europe.

Then, there are the truly authentic Neptunians, with the gift of prophecies that contain blazing insights. In ancient Greece, Cassandra was given the gift of prophecy by the Sun God Apollo with a “hitch” attached – nobody would believe her! Thus, against her warnings, the Trojan War took place and her side lost.

Interestingly, now at this historic point, many of the warnings and predictions presented by seers from Nostradamus to Edger Cayce seem to be unfolding before our eyes. The problem with these great psychic prognostications is – we need to look clearly at their implications in what we call “the real world” in which our scientific instrumentation can observe and measure what may be unfolding. This includes historic human behaviors that have manifested before, when climate changes and resources for survival become scarce. The alternative is a tendency for people to “escape” into drugs, alcohol or even suicide, which we are, sadly, currently observing. This is a sure pathway to extinction.

The recent news released by global climate scientists is grim. They project that by 2050, nearly all coastal cities, including those in the US from New York City to San Francisco, will be flooded. The melting of the Antarctic glacier could raise ocean waters by four feet. Many island nations throughout the world will be under water. The Horn of Africa nations are already dried up and no longer habitable. Nations in the Middle East have lost most of their aquifers and crops are drying up. The Western United States is in the longest drought in 1200 years. Droughts are recurring, but this combined with man made global warning, the experts say, raises the severity by at least 40%. The recent acceleration of Winter storms, blizzards and floods and severe prolonged heat and fires in the West here in the US have reminded us that serious weather events are on the increase.

Winds of War:

The military invasion of Ukraine continues this month and NATO and the US have now imposed sanctions on Putin, personally and his access to the use of the global banking and financial system. Putin’s astrological chart (Oct. 7, 1952, 9:35 AM BGT, Leningrad, Russia) presents Neptune and Jupiter in Pisces square his part of fortune, is square his progressed Sun, and forms a Yod with his Pluto sextile Neptune/Mercury – all highly confusing, destabilizing and thus, a dangerous cocktail for irrational decisions. His Solar Arc Pluto is crossing his Scorpio Ascendant inconjunct his natal Moon. He sees himself as the reincarnation of a Russian Tzar, here to take over most of Eastern Europe and reunite the old Soviet Empire. He has already moved a lot of his money into safer places and has hidden gold assets. One thing that is a constant – he is delusional, mentally unstable, and lies at every turn.

Pres. Biden has announced that he and other nations are closing down the global banking system to Russia. Germany has announced they will sanction the new pipeline coming in from Russia. The NATO alliance has strengthened. Putin may have his “stash”, but his oligarch friends may not be so lucky. The Western world will be hit with more rising prices for oil and gas as the sanctions take place, further aggravating the already troublesome energy inflation hitting people. However, the US has the most natural gas in the world and plenty of oil. Biden will likely assist in refurbishing the infrastructure necessary to supply ourselves and other markets. Iran and the US are moving closer to renewing the nuclear agreement that former Pres. Trump dumped. If we release Iran oil back into the global market, it will lessen the hit Europe will take for the shutdown of Russian oil pipelines.

Saturn is moving into an opposition with Putin’s Pluto in his 10thHouse (rulership) trine his Neptune/Mercury in Libra (negotiation). The US and NATO need to figure out the right balance between “the carrot and the stick”. Another factor is that even though Putin is a dictator and has close to absolute power, there are other people surrounding him (the oil oligarchs) that may have something to say about Putin’s narcissism and power-mongering, and what this may cost Russia. In addition, the Russian people-at-large are against this invasion and major cities throughout Russia have staged huge protests. He may have stirred up enormous and meaningful opposition to his absolute power both at home and abroad. Ukrainian Pres. Zelensky and the young citizens of Ukraine are putting up a courageous fight and look impressive to the rest of the world.

Complexity Wrapped around confusion:

China and Russia through the years have been “frenemies” for a long time. Although China recently announced they are making deals with Russia, buying their oil and wheat, they also announced they do not necessarily approve of their moving their military forces into Ukraine. If Russia thinks China will help them borrow money, they are mistaken. China is in a major debt crisis of its own. However, we must not forget that China is in a similar situation with respect to Taiwan who they see as part of mainland China. Taiwan has been declared an independent nation and supported by the West and the US since WWII. This island nation has close economic ties with the US and manufactures most of our chip technology. As Russia invades the Ukraine, and the West is too weak in its response, China may finally consider invading Taiwan. To make the situation even murkier, India has long claimed Kashmir, a primarily Muslim territory which Pakistan claims belongs to them, is watching the West and may finally annex Kashmir as only belonging to them. These two nations are both armed with nuclear weapons. In recent years, they have made moves in this direction. All of this opens a giant can of worms in the world-at-large.

Transiting Uranus in Taurus is moving historically into the positions it was in when Hitler took over Austria and invaded Czechoslovakia in the 1930s. Putin’s megalomania resembles that of the dictators of that era. Two world wars were fought in the 20th Century involving oil, coal, and gas resources. Today’s nuclear weapons are so massively destructive, they defy description. The “big solution” – Nuclear Fusion – is being created and may be ready to go in a few years, but not fast enough. Meanwhile, history rhymes!

What will we do?

Until the civilized world adopts a “big solution to energy”, we will continually be enslaved by Russia and nations throughout the unstable monarchies and dictatorships in the Middle East. Fossil fuel will continue to warm up an Earth that has already been pushed to the edge of climate collapse. Here in the US, we will likely release restrictions on our own oil and gas corporations to be less dependent on foreign resources. Green, sustainable energy such as solar and windmill, realistically, cannot even approach the massive amount of energy that is needed here or anywhere. As this newsletter has been reporting for many years, Nuclear Fusion combined with and the perfect battery is the big solution. We are on our way there. The looming question is: will it be soon enough?

For the past twenty years, I have been reporting on the serious lack of cyber security in the US since we created the Internet without even considering that possibility. In recent years, we have observed the massive hacks and thefts on institutional systems throughout this nation and in other regions as well. With Venus and Mars going into Aquarius on March 6th(Mars will be there through April 14th, we will be aware of the possibility of a cyber war and will be taking measures to observe and prevent this. Both Russia and the US could simply shut down entire infrastructures with devastating consequences.

Pres. Biden, NATO, and the so-called “free world” will likely use diplomatic and economic tools to avert the worst of the worse, and much of what goes on will be kept highly secret. What goes on behind the scenes will be what counts.

The Supreme Court:

Pres. Biden has nominated highly credentialed 51 year old Judge Ketanji Brown-Jackson to the Supreme Court – the first African American woman to hold this office. This is another landmark decision in the area of equal rights.

The Economy:

After the first week of March, the financial markets in general, will tend to move upward, energy (gas and oil) inflation will continue to rise, the Feds will raise interest rates to a very small degree, but Wall Street will not tumble downward until between May 9th(Mercury goes retrograde) and May 16thwhen there is a Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio nearly opposite the one last November in Taurus. Even with higher interest rates, real estate will continue to rise in price. However, this Neptune economy will defy description and will likely move in so many directions, the prognosticators will constantly change their tune!

Science and Technology:

At this juncture, the COVID pandemic is subsiding in many parts of the world, thanks to effective vaccines and anti-viral medicines. I wish I could be more optimistic, but I do not think we are “out of the woods” yet. Omicron Subvariant BA.2 is emerging in poor nations that have less access to vaccines. Before we can feel more at ease, it will take us into 2023 to get things under control. The Special Issue, March 2022 of Scientific American, contains a lot of information – the good, the bad, and the ugly – surrounding this pandemic and the possibility of others to come. The positive part is the amazing progress in medicine that has been accelerated and holds promise for the future.

This newsletter is dedicated to finding big solutions to big problems that are presenting themselves to us in this historic era. As you all know, I believe Nuclear Fusion will end the age of fossil fuel and provide humanity with infinite amounts of clean sustainable energy. For those of you who are new to this idea, we found an article posted on https://phys.org/news/2022-02-sun-simulations.html published on March 2, 2021, entitled: “Nuclear Fusion: Building a star on Earth is hard, which is why we need better materials.” The author, Aneeqa Kahn reports: “Nuclear fusion is the process that powers the Sun and all other stars. During fusion, the nuclei of two atoms are brought close enough together that they fuse together, releasing huge amounts of energy. Replicating this process on Earth has the potential to deliver almost limitless electricity with virtually zero carbon emissions and greater safety, and without the same level of nuclear waste as fission. But building what is essentially a mini star on Earth and holding it together inside a reactor is not an easy task. It requires immense temperatures and pressures and extremely strong magnetic fields.” The report continues and it is worth reading the whole article that discusses the current obstacles as well as breakthroughs that are making this a reality.

Also recently reported, on www.wired.com, an article was posted entitled “DeepMind has Trained an AI to Control Nuclear Fusion.” They explain: “The inside of a tokamak – the doughnut -shaped vessel designed to contain a nuclear fusion reaction – presents a special kind of chaos. Hydrogen atoms are smashed together at unfathomably high temperatures, creating a whirling roiling plasma that’s hotter than the surface of the sun. Finding smart ways to control and confine that plasma will be key to unlocking the potential of nuclear fusion, which has been mooted the clean energy source of the future for decades. At this point, the science underlying fusion seems sound, so what remains is an engineering challenge. ‘We need to be able to heat this matter up and hold it together for long enough for us to take energy out of it.’ says Ambrogio Fasoli, director of the Swiss Plasma Center at Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Sausanne, in Switzerland.”
They go on to explain: “That’s where DeepMind comes in. The artificial intelligence firm, backed by Google parent company Alphabet, has previously turned its hand to video games and protein folding, and has been working on a joint research project with the Swiss Plasma Center to develop an AI for controlling a nuclear fusion reaction.” This is an article worth reading in its entirety. There have also been reported some technological problems with the Fusion Chamber – ITER – in France that will have to be solved and may delay the progress at this site, which is financed by the European Union.
Last week, the TV show “60 Minutes” reported on a terrible weapon launched on American diplomats and people in government service known as “Havana Syndrome”. It was named after the first attack on our ambassador and his family stationed in Cuba. Other diplomats were attacked while in China and were sent home. They have now discerned that it is likely a microwave directed at the brains of these people that destroys their inner ear sense of balance, their memory capacities, and other serious damage to their neurological health. If they know who is behind this, the information has not been released, but the probability is that it is either Russia or China.

This is a WOW!:

The enormous looming crisis of giant glaciers cracking and melting at the Poles that will likely cause coastal cities all over the world to become submerged and uninhabitable, seems almost impossible to comprehend, let alone fix. That is, until I ran across an article on phys.org/news2022-radiative-cooling-ice-sunlight-iced.html . The article is entitled: “Radiative cooling: Protecting ice from melting under sunlight, from iced food to glaciers.”

They report: “Ice plays a significant role in many aspects of life, ranging from food preservation to ice supports and ecosystems, thereby providing incentive to protect ice from melting under sunlight. Fundamentally, ice melts under sunlight due to the imbalance of energy flow of incoming sunlight and outgoing thermal radiation. Radiative cooling can therefore balance the energy flows without energy consumption to sustainably protect ice. In a new report now published in ‘Science Advances’, Jinlei Li and a team of scientists in advanced microstructures, engineering, atmospheric sciences, and fine mechanics and physics, in China and the US., developed a hierarchically designed radiative cooling film using abundant and eco-friendly cellulose acetate molecules. The versatility of the materials provided effective and passive protection to ice in various forms and scales, under sunlight. The outcomes can effectively provide a scalable and tunable route to preserve ice and other critical elements of ecosystems.”

Final Thoughts:

Humans are an amazingly intelligent species that are severely limited by the tendency to cling to ancient beliefs that are highly limiting and, at worst, fatally false. We continue to selfishly battle one another which always leads us into wars and conflicts that, today, if we continue, would collapse civilization altogether. The nuclear and cyber weapons we have today will backfire on any nation that uses them. The old adage “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth” leaves everybody blind and toothless.

Is this the Dystopian reality the “gift” we wish to give to our children and grandchildren?

We need Neptune and Pisces to work for us in the best of all possible ways – that is clearing away the storms, the fog, the clouds and shine a light on the array of solutions that lie in an atmosphere of clear minds, open hearts, and a willingness to work together within the context of tolerance and loving kindness.

The constellations above can inspire us with a gift of prophecy we can all embrace together. History can teach us that the terrible mistakes of the past may come around again, but, this time, it can be different.

Let us wake up, come out of our collective coma, and live the change we wish to see in the world!
Blessings,

The Sabian Degree symbolism for the New Moon is: “Standing by a Campfire, a general outlines the tactical situation to his aid-de-camp and discusses the upcoming campaign.” The Sabian Symbolism for the Full Moon: “A Native American girl introduces her college boyfriend to the tribe. He gives a short speech and then cautiously responds to objections from his girlfriend’s mother.” Quoted from: “The Zodiac by Degrees” by Martin Goldsmith

2022 – The War of the Worlds Continues

Most would agree that the USA is currently the dominant economic and military power in the world today. China is seeking to challenge all this, but is running out of money to finance its military budget and it’s great electric train system slated to move through most of the Asian nations. Russia is scheming to undermine NATO, the EU, and the US to get back nations (The Ukraine) that were formerly in the Soviet Union. These two nations are currently forming an alliance similar to the one in the Cold War of the 20th Century against the power of the US. The world-at-large is dealing with the COVID pandemic and it’s latest mutation, Omicron, that is still spreading itself around populations throughout the globe.

In Africa alone, there are 21 basically failed states. In Central and South America, most nations are narco-states ruled mostly by the drug cartels. Syria is a nation devastated by its dictator, Assad, who presently works with localized war lords whose only economy is making and selling amphetamines. For the past decade, revolutions around the world have produced and strengthened dictatorships, threatening the very essence of the ideal of democracy. However, the most successful story lies in the European Union which has held together throughout the global crises with climate, energy, immigration, and economic uncertainty. Many are of the opinion that it has been led by Germany, who has recently had a peaceful transition from highly acclaimed Prime Minister Angela Merkel to Olaf Scholz.

Here in the US, many states are passing laws to prevent whole segments of their populations from voting at all and severely limit women’s reproductive rights. Already, the conservative wing of the Supreme Court has successfully upheld the Texas law restricting abortion. The ancient patriarchal and colonialist economic power systems are re-emerging with a vengeance. At the same time, equal time and equal status for women and people of color is presenting itself throughout the mass media. However, a massive economic canyon still exists between the billionaire/millionaire class and the rest of the nation. For the past 40 years, the US has become the biggest money-laundering nation in the world having dropped regulations, taxes, and any kind of rule of law for giant corporations. Companies have been able to outsource manufacturing overseas and insource cheap labor from abroad. An example of this kind of corruption is Purdue Pharma who got away with the manufacture and distribution of opioids all over our nation when they knew how highly addictive these drugs are. This has resulted in the loss of hundreds of thousands of lives.

The people of this nation are living in different “worlds” and they are colliding! A large percentage of the people feel truly alienated from most of society’s institutions, and for good reason. The monumental historic conjunction of Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn in Capricorn between Feb. and March of 2020 is still in effect. This configuration represents the great COVID pandemic and economic earthquake that has claimed over 800,000 lives in the US alone. It also signals a “fight to the death” between old and the new, the right and the left, and the challenge to institutional democracy itself. In February of 2022, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Pluto all transit Capricorn, reviving and enhancing all these issues. It is deja vu all over again!

Politics aside, the legislation that has passed and that which is being debated is an attempt from the Biden administration to correct the serious imbalances and hold criminal cartels responsible by reviving the rule of law and making them pay their share of taxes. Pres. Joe Biden is an elder (he is 79 years old) and cannot be “bribed” having had his career and no other motivation than making what he feels is an attempt to “save” this nation. I am concerned about his health between now and 2023.

The Transits:

The Saturn/Uranus square between Aquarius and Taurus magnified tensions throughout 2021, and still continues in 2022. Saturn’s placement in the democratic sign of Aquarius heralds the new age we have just entered and forces us to seriously examine what Aquarius really means and the responsibility to maintain friendship, teamwork, and civility. Taurus symbolizes both the system of money and the earth itself and whether we will destroy it or save it. Global climate catastrophes are now more frequent and more serious. Volcanoes are erupting in Japan, the Sandwich Islands, Indonesia, the Canary Islands, and Iceland.

This is the year transiting Pluto returns to the US natal Pluto, which, throughout human history, has coincided with nations and empires falling apart. Neptune is opposing our Natal Neptune in Virgo which questions the “work ethic” and how the workplace has to change. Saturn will go over our Natal Moon between now and early 2023 which often threatens our nation’s top leadership. This forms a challenge to our very existence as a nation, a democracy, and/or a global power. We have already, most recently, mourned the deaths of great American leaders from the “greatest generation”, including Colin Powell and Robert Dole, who helped us win WWII and emerge as the world’s greatest economy. Also, goodbye to former Majority Leader Senator Harry Reid and world celebrated leader of the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa, Desmond Tutu.

The transit of Neptune in Pisces ( 2012 – 2025) can represent a deep delusional sleep framed by religious or political cults – or a genuine yearning for a mass spiritual awakening. It also rules giant floods and tsunamis, that could represent another event similar to the Japanese earthquake and tsunami of March 2011. It also represents the great Arctic and Antarctic melts and rising of the oceans, submersing the coasts of many nations, including our own. 2022 brings us Jupiter transiting Pisces Dec. 29, 2021 – May 10, 2022 and again Oct 28 – Dec. 20 2022). It could point to more outbreaks and spreading of the virus. Since Jupiter represents expansion of consciousness into unlimited realms, it can also hasten our collective psyches into “escapism” through drugs, alcohol, or even suicide, which is an unfortunate trend already being observed. However, this transit could also present an opportunity for a great “healing” to take place that would come through a recognition that we are all of the same universal substance; therefore, that by wounding your neighbor, you wound yourself and, conversely, you heal your neighbor, you heal yourself.

Jupiter transits into Aries back and forth from May 11, 2022 through Oct. 28 (it goes back into late Pisces until Dec. 20) and then again from Dec. 20th through May 17, 2023. Aries is an optimistic, youthful, energetic sign that loves technological breakthroughs and going “where no man has gone before.” In addition, Aries is a sign that works cooperatively with Aquarius as we invent our way out of the energy and climate crises with a near perfect battery and nuclear fusion. More ventures into space and planetary travel and surveillance will emerge. We may make medical miracles happen connected with genetic engineering, neural and brain enhancements, robotic limbs, treatments for viral infections, and many other cures and treatments never before envisioned.

I have to mention an important transit to the US natal chart, and that is the transit of Mars in the sign of Gemini (war, conflict, lawlessness, police) which begins Aug. 20, 2022, retrogrades, Oct. 30, goes direct Jan. 12, 2023 and all the way through the sign March 24, 2023. The US chart contains Uranus (sudden upheavals or breakthroughs) in Gemini and a Mars in Gemini square our natal Neptune in Virgo. These degrees were activated in the Civil War, WW II and the Korean War. Chinese President Xi Jinping, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and former Pres. Donald Trump are all Geminis. We are having a mid-term election Nov. 8 under the shadow of a Lunar Eclipse in Taurus conjunct Uranus, opposition Mercury and square Saturn.. This will be an election that is stormy, disputed, will have technological glitches, and may even be delayed by storms and tornadoes in many locations. Gemini, an air sign, suggests more serious storms, tornadoes, and extremely high winds.

Science and Technology:

On Dec. 7, an article on OILPRICE by Alex Kimani entitled: “The Multi-Billion Dollar Start of a Nuclear Fusion Boom” was posted. He reports “But none has managed to inspire as much investor enthusiasm as Commonwealth Fusion Systems. The Massachusetts based fusion startup has just snagged more than $1.8 billion in the largest private investment for nuclear fusion yet from a plethora of big-name investors, including Microsoft Corp. co-founder Bill Gates, George Soros, and venture capitalist John Doerr. Commonwealth Fusion System is in good company. On Nov. 5, Helion energy announced that it had raised $500 million in its latest fundraising round, making it the second-largest-ever single fundraising round for a private fusion firm. Helion has a chance to surpass Commonwealth Fusion System since its latest round of funding includes an additional $1.7 billion tied to certain performance round that was oversubscribed, the company’s chief Executive Christofer Mowry has revealed.” As all my readers know, I have been reporting on nuclear fusion for several years and am of the opinion that this is one of the greatest inventions of this century.

A major event took place last month when the James Webb Space Telescope was launched. It took 25 years to construct at a cost of $10 Billion. This has been among the largest and most complicated engineering projects in history. We will now be able to observe the very origin of the universe that arose from from the “Big Bang.” We will be able to see other solar systems like ours, with planets like earth that could produce forms of life! This is one of humankind’s major achievements, propelling us into the Age of Aquarius.

Sonnet 94 – William Shakespeare (1564 – 1616)

As all the crises, catastrophes, and breakthroughs are inundating our senses, we need to finally “get” the notion given to us by the very wise people through the centuries. This is the fact that we cannot expect “the world” to be at our feet – that success will simply come our way – that we will have smooth sailing throughout our lives. Most of the time, we make our own success, work to support ourselves, come together with friends and family to mutually assure our survival and happiness. We can simply “choose” to learn from every mistake, every obstacle, that the walls can come down if we learn how to remove them. Shakespeare knew that the richest, most talented, and most powerful people who betray civilization and “sell out” to corruption “smell far worse than weeds.” The humble weed and its honesty may be the survivor and, with the help of higher consciousness, live to create a better world.

When all this seems just too overwhelming, we need to remember the insight from the founders of the many great religions: “The Kingdom of God is within.” Our connection to the light of understanding leads us to the peace of knowing who we really are within the vast mind of eternity.

The Libra Dilemma – Making a Decision:

The sign of Libra, ruled by Venus, governs the 7th House of partnership whose “domain” is (marriage), legal contracts, diplomatic relations, fairness, equality, and justice. Libra, like the season it represents, is positioned between life and death – as the Summer’s harvest is taken in and earth’s foliage turns into exquisite color before it dies, or simply descends into its roots underground until the Spring. Thus, symbolically, making decisions takes on an aura of grave importance.

Since Libra people are concerned with fairness and proper negotiation with persons who are often on opposite sides of an issue, they are “plagued” with time constraints involved in making a decision, feeling pushed and afraid they will make the “wrong” decision, and are at heir best when “the Law” makes the choice for them. They are often charming and attractive (Venus) and sometimes use their “charm factor” to postpone coming down one way or another, for or against – until people around them want to leave the negotiation altogether!

The struggles this month between the planets Mercury and Mars in Libra, ultimately forming squares (conflicts) with Pluto (the powerful) in Capricorn clearly demonstrate political warfare between women’s reproductive rights (Venus) and the self-appointed “Evangelical Christians” that we saw with the Texas antiabortion law last month that expanded to penalize anyone who assisted the women looking for the procedure performed over the six week limit.. The Supreme Court did not rule that this was “illegal”, thus encouraging other right-wing states to pass similar legislation and expect the Court to support them. This has resulted in women’s rights movements demonstrating in the streets throughout the US. My take is that the voter turnout in state legislature elections will be what wins the day, and that will take time. This month will increase the intensity.

There are also many “conservative” states controlled by Republican legislatures that will be pushing through laws making it harder for people to vote, as was done in Texas. This most effects people of color, minorities and poorer people, keeping them from voting for candidates who would represent their interests. The COVD pandemic is sweeping these States that have more un-vaccinated people. The virus will continue to infect thousands of people this month, through the end of the year. I see a small improvement in the outbreak in 2022.

The struggles in Congress around the big Biden infrastructure bills is illustrative of the Libra dilemma. The progressives in the Democratic Party are in an “all or nothing” mode. The fact is that compromise will be necessary to get this done and they must come together to do it.

This legislation will still be on the table this month until Mercury and Jupiter go direct on the 17th – 18th. I think there will be a positive momentum to pass something around this time, along with the US Budget “lifting of the ceiling”, which Sen. Mitch McConnell, once again, is threatening to hold up.

I predicted in last month’s newsletter that the Roberts Court would be active and making numerous rulings that will likely demonstrate the conservative nature of this court. Decisions from this Court will be highlighted this month through early November.

The Economy:

The Mercury retrograde square Pluto Sep. 26th through Oct. 2, and again Nov. 1 – 2, is bearish. We may have a sell-off early in the month and somewhat of an upswing around the 18th, when Mercury goes direct sextile Venus. However, Venus is square Neptune on the 26th creating an aura of uncertainty. We are now being confronted with members of the Federal Reserve Board being accused of “insider trading”. Corruption throughout the system is being exposed. Interest rates will remain low for now. Markets will be in an upswing around the 18th.

Interestingly, this very obstructive Mercury retrograde square Pluto points us to the significant election in Germany. There was no clear majority, so a coalition government has to be formed and Prime Minister Angela Merkel will stay in her position until early next year. Merkel is considered to be an outstanding leader who has been in office for four terms. She has a Doctorate in Quantum Chemistry in addition to her extensive experience a head-of-state. She will be difficult to replace.

Mars is inconjunct (destabilizing) Uranus (technology) on the 5th. There is a lot of furor around Bitcoin and all the other “coins” as to their legitimacy as currency or legal tender. China has officially “outlawed” Bitcoin. Mercury is also inconjunct Uranus back and forth between the 12th and the 24th. This transit of Uranus in Taurus (money, banking, property) went into this sign May 2018 and will be there until July 2025. Our entire banking system and currency usage is in the process of going digital. The block chain technology used by Bitcoin, which is nearly hack-proof, will make this possible. Once again, however, vulnerabilities to “hacking” into data bases will emerge.

Immigration:

In all my books, I have predicted that we would enter an era of mass migrations from around the world of a magnitude never seen before, overwhelming the nations receiving them. Neptune in Pisces points to climate changes consisting of droughts, flooding, heating, and conditions collapsing economies in nations that have few or no resources to combat these changes. Among the nations at most risk are Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, multiple nations in Central and So. America, and multiple African nations. This includes Afghanistan. People are fleeing for their lives.

Recently, the US has been presented with thousands of Haitians on top of the already monumental number of people trying to cross our border from Central and South America., overwhelming our resources. This is on top of those coming in from Central and So. America and many brought in from Afghanistan. We have been talking endlessly about immigration reform for decades without any essential agreements that would create and pass legislation from the political parties. These crises will will continue again this month through the end of this year.

The Biden administration will do whatever it can within its executive power. Earlier on, he appointed VP Kamala Harris to address this issue, who seems to survey the issue, act outraged, and offers no policy solution. His administration has taken multiple “hits”, including for the messy end to the Afghanistan War and treatment of Haitians at the border. I think it has moved and will continually move toward limiting access. The fact is: we simply do not have the resources, or the framework of legislation to address this enormous crisis.

COVID:

This amplified crisis is, quite simply, the result of people refusing to be vaccinated and, in many regions, refusing to be masked. The US has moved away, over the past 50 years, from accepting mandates from any and all “central authorities” no matter what the scientific facts are. Sadly, the issue has also become “politicized.” Fear and paranoia of loss of freedom in a broad sense are effecting people’s judgment and leading to severe illness and death. It has also caused a spreading of the disease throughout the nation. Only about 55% of US citizens have been vaccinated. The last report was that 675,000 Americans have died of the virus. On top of everything else, China, where the virus originated, has closed the doors to continuing the information coming from the investigation of the pandemic’s origin.

This is a very tough issue for astrologers to address since there are many planetary pictures pointing to contagious illness. Neptune’s transit in Pisces until 2026 aligns with previous outbreaks of “the Plague” in past centuries. Too much of the world’s population lives in subsistence poverty and has little access to vaccines or remedies. I am concerned about the gathering of planets in Capricorn that will conjunct Pluto between Feb. and March of 2022, reactivating the great conjunction and Lunar Eclipse of Jan. 2020 under which the whole thing began.

However, on the optimistic side, we have developed a science and technology that points to cures never seen before in previous human history. Success will be incremental. Things will gradually improve, but will depend upon all of us to follow a pathway to true freedom – freedom from this disease.

Mother Nature and Weather:

The first week of this month, retrograde Mercury is square Pluto, pointing to severe storms, once again, targeting the Atlantic. Last month, a huge volcano erupted on the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands, which will continue this month. I have forecast this era as a volcanic cycle in past newsletters.

Science and Technology

Most of my readers know so well that I am a proponent of nuclear fusion. Many people think this usage is decades away from being viable, and I have gone on record to disagree. I happen to think this is the solution to climate catastrophes and the need for massive amounts of energy, available to nations everywhere. As an astrologer, my target year for this to go online around the world is 2026.

Last month, an article was posted in September on “The Hill” by Paul Dabbar, entitled “Fusion breakthrough dawns as era for US energy and industry.” He reports: “The fusion age is upon us. This week, a major breakthrough was achieved in key technology for commercial fusion power, and very likely sets up the first ever net-energy-out -fusion plant being commissioned four years from today.” He goes on to suggest “Everyone in the energy industry, policy makers, academia and labs should take note that we are at the dawn of a new energy revolution.” He explains “In fusion, two hydrogen atoms fuse, which liberates energy for power and helium, which is not a challenging product for the environment. Both nuclear and fusion do not emit carbon or any other gas emissions. And both nuclear and fusion have advantages over wind, solar, and other non-emitting energy types, given you can produce large amounts of energy in very small land footprints that can be located anywhere, and can run every hour of every day.

The author continues: “Commonwealth Fusion Systems (“CFS”) a Cambridge, Mass. headquartered Massachusetts Institute of Technology spinout, made the breakthrough announcement. CFS has ben focusing on developing a fusion plant based on the most researched fusion design, called tokamak, which uses powerful magnets to provide the magnetic containment for the fusion reaction. The core challenge for fusion is making a magnetic field strong enough to contain the reaction, while also generating more energy from the reaction than it takes to run the magnets.” He reports “CFS has been focusing on jumping magnet technologies historically used for fusion plants. They announced that they have successfully fabricated a full, plant-sized magnet with high temperature superconductor (“ HTS”) material. This magnet operates at a magnetic field strength significantly higher than current technologies, and is one hundred times larger than previous HTS magnets. And using this material means that power needed to produce the field is very low, compared to other materials, CFS and much of the fusion community have confidence that this magnet will very likely allow the DFS plant being built in Massachusetts to be the world’s first net-energy-out fusion plant. This means we will, for the first time, be able to generate more energy from the fusion reaction than it takes to generate the containment. And the higher magnetic field allows for a much smaller reactor than current nuclear plants, or the ITER fusion facility in France, allowing for much more manageable, cheaper and lower risk construction. In addition to CFS, it is likely that other fusion companies could also be close to achievements, including TAE Technologies, Canada’s General Fusion and others.”

My attention has been directed to this most important area for many years, as planets are marching forward in Aquarius – an age of invention that may surpass all others. Fossil fuel use has decimated the global climate and polluted the earth and its oceans (plastic – a derivative of oil). Its use has made us slaves to oil and gas economies here and in the Middle East and Russia, leading to price hikes, multiple military confrontations and unholy alliances. Right now, China is militarily controlling parts of the South China Sea, and other areas in the Pacific so they have more access to undersea oil. This puts them into a direct confrontation with Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Southeast Asia, and the US for control of that region, with whom Pres. Biden has recently met. Following this, France removed their ambassador to the US because the US replaced their submarines that they had previouly contractually sold to Australia. This is just one example of the clash of foreign powers, including all regions surrounding the Persian Gulf.

Infinite energy that can be produced in sites anywhere, gives off no pollution, has no catastrophic problems if it shuts down, and no longer makes us subject to oil nations raising prices leading to economic crises here and abroad, will truly change the direction of human civilization.

This is the next “big thing!”

Final Thoughts:

“All time is unredeemable.
What might have been is an abstraction
Remaining in perpetual possibility
Only in a world of speculation.
What might have been and what has been
Point to one end, which is always present.”

‘The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock’
T. S. Eliot

We are all living and struggling together contained within a frame of time that challenges humanity in so many ways. It seems every crisis is converging at this critical point – a global pandemic, economic inequalities, regional wars, and climate catastrophes that threaten to subsume every other issue. The ruling global elites are currently demonstrating a colossal insensitivity to the fates of the rest of humanity. On top of it all, we are confronted with much of this on the Nightly News, whether we wish to deal with it or not. It is a dark gathering of storms that make the predictions of Nostradamus seem tame!

I am reminded, however, that nothing great has ever been accomplished when things were easy. Lower forms of consciousness repeating historic mistakes will not survive in a time when we must be more intelligent, more caring, and wiser than at any other time in human history. This is how evolution operates. We live in the perpetual present, a quantum world where all things are possible.

The eternal, timeless question lies before us. What will we choose?

Blessings to you all,
