The Profound Changes of Uranus in Gemini
The fixed star, Caput Algol, was considered by the ancients to embody some of the worst characteristics of human nature throughout history. Its mythology has been associated with beheadings, hangings, broken and severed necks, infections of the throat, and the beginnings of wars when nations “blow up” or sever the lands of other nations. The last degree of Taurus, 29 degrees, is conjunct the Pleiades, the constellation of the seven weeping sisters, associated with death, loss, and eventual recovery of assets.
It would seem the ancients knew what they were talking about, as this last transit in Taurus coincided with the rise of the Third Reich in Germany and its invasion of Poland and bombing of Great Britain. It was there when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, and the US entered WWII. Uranus has been transiting this area more recently since June of 2024; entering Gemini July 7 – Nov. 6th of 2025, then retrograde back into Taurus until April 26 this year, when it enters Gemini, where it will be until May 23, 2033. As I have reported in previous newsletters, Uranus in early Gemini has coincided with the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and WWII. This would suggest that recent wars in the US began in late Taurus and moved forward into early Gemini.
Trump’s War:
Many of my fellow astrologers have been predicting the probability of the US becoming involved in a war with these transits looming on the horizon — and they are now here upon us. Interestingly, President Trump’s horoscope has Algol on his Midheaven (career). In addition, both Trump and his “Secretary of War” Pete Hegseth have their Suns in the sign of Gemini. Interestingly, the Premier of China, Ji Jin Ping, also has his Sun in Gemini, whose nation is greatly affected by Iran’s blocking of vessels through the Gulf of Hormuz, plus the US embargo, bringing all commerce to a halt. Ironically, this war has interrupted the shipment of fossil fuels to China, affecting its economy and giving it an incentive to work toward ending the war.
Trump’s decision to begin an all-out war with Iran has destabilized the whole region, shot up the price of oil, natural gas, and fertilizer, escalated inflation, and has no coherent endgame or clear strategy. His profound ignorance of the consequences of this war and the “nature” of Iranian culture is unfolding before the “eyes of the world”. Iran contains deep within itself a cohesive military security core that rules completely over the population-at-large, which has essentially no power. Their power over the Gulf of Hormuz is a winning card, enabling them to negotiate a settlement that will assure their survival. Saturn in Aries is moving over their Natal Sun, strengthening their determination.
Uranus recently completed its transit in Taurus and went into Gemini on April 26. At this moment, Mars (the God of War) will go through the sign of Taurus from May 19 through June 28. It will travel through Gemini from June 29 through July 10. These placements and ensuing events are only a small part of a much more profound series of cycles that confront us today. This presents to us a “second American Revolution” and a challenge to humanity-at-large – a mass evolution of human consciousness.
May and June present us with a transit of Mars in Taurus that points to serious conflicts and instabilities in Trump’s natal chart. The last time this transit took place, from June 9 to July 20, 2024, there was a failed assassination attempt on his life. Just recently on April 25, when Uranus was in the last degree of Taurus moving into Gemini, there was an attempted assassination attempt on Pres. Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Uranus has just completed its transit in this sign over the past seven years. Information is coming out that Trump has been a “Russian operative” since 1987, which accounts for his abandonment of Ukraine and his friendship with Putin, along with his releasing Russia from the restrictions on their exports of oil and gas. With a multitude of crises emerging for the president, we must remember that there are no “absolutes” contained within astrological predictions – only tendencies. All this will depend upon decisions made within the government beyond the powers of the president.
Energy – The Heart of the Issue – from Quagmire to Clarity:
On a global scale, unbeknownst to many, we are actually depleting our fossil fuel reserves. Because most “environmental” restraints on mining and digging, and “green” projects have been suspended by the Trump administration here, the US has freed up access to gas and oil flowing from our country. Most of the essential passageways for the transport of oil, Iran has controlled directly through the Gulf of Hormuz, the “choke point” without which many of the world’s current economies will suffer inflation and even collapse.
This age of monumental technological invention and expansion, including artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies, is using up absolutely enormous amounts of this store of energy. If this continues, we will simply run out of known fossil fuel deposits within a decade. US presidents have understood for decades that the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Hormuz are necessary for the existence of the global economy and that Iran has control of this region. This is the rationale behind previous presidents’ refusal to get into an all-out war with Iran. At this time, our current economic and financial frameworks are seriously destabilized.
There have recently been efforts in the US to reinstate old nuclear fission plants and build more of them, which produce highly toxic nuclear waste, in order to get ahead of this catastrophe. Sadly, the Trump administration has defunded and discouraged green energy production like electric vehicles, solar, and windmill projects.
The nation that has outproduced all other nations in solar panels, windmills, and electric cars is CHINA. In my next newsletter, I will concentrate on the rise of China as a global power and its attempt to make its currency the global currency. They have constructed a nuclear fusion site that has achieved extended ignition.
The Solution:
The real solution lies in financing and supporting the new technology of NUCLEAR FUSION, which provides virtually unlimited energy with no pollution and no use of fossil fuels. Those of you who read my books and newsletters know I have been publishing information about the evolution of this energy and its sites, which may be the biggest technological breakthrough of this century. AI – considered to be the biggest breakthrough of our times- cannot exist without energy. Our civilization will collapse without energy. Strangely, only in highly scientific and technical newsletters that most people do not read is the information available.
The astrology behind this is that Neptune in Aries sextiles Uranus in Gemini, and Pluto in Aquarius trines Uranus in Gemini, along with the recent transit of Saturn in Aries, all point to massive breakthroughs in energy technology. When Jupiter goes into Leo on June 30th this year, it is likely that news around this technology will finally be revealed.
The Future of the Aquarian Age is upon us:
The recent Artemis mission around the Moon is a reminder that America’s inventions and technological breakthroughs are still happening, in spite of a Fascist, “enemy of science” government. The recent “Anti-King” demonstrations around the US were the biggest in our history and are resulting in “the people” democratically organizing themselves to effect major change.
Pope Francis IV has made public and highly moving statements against war, along with Trump’s policies to defund government agencies set up to assist the elderly, the poor, and the needy. It is profoundly important to note that this outspoken pope is an American. Putin is losing the war with Ukraine. The recent defeat of Trump-backed Orban in Hungary points to the movement away from dictators in multiple countries around the world.
The above-mentioned planetary configurations point to an amazing, mind-boggling age of scientific discoveries. Beyond all this will emerge a new human consciousness that may come to a realization that war does not work; hate foments hate; and submitting to dictators is a losing battle. Those people operating primarily from the “reptilian brain” will simply fail and fall. The Trump presidency would remind us of the worst of the worst of the psychopathic ancient Roman emperors who were brought down by their own people. History rhymes.
The New Economy – Science, Technology and a New Framework for Education:
My readers will recognize that for years, my books and newsletters have predicted a major trend in the job market. The “trades” – electricians, plumbers, construction workers, builders, mechanics, cyber security experts- are emerging as areas needing workers and paying an excellent wage. This is now unfolding before our eyes! Community colleges throughout the nation, offering Associate degrees, could graduate people with these licenses in the trades, courses in accounting and finance, preparing students to manage their money and even create their own businesses. The healthcare industry will be a major employer. Teachers will be needed to accommodate training in these job markets. A new book by Dr. Deborah Keaney, titled “The Well-Educated Child,” has just been published and would solve many of the problems and failures in public education in recent decades by presenting new frameworks that could salvage our current systems and save our children.
The progress of scientific, technological, and medical breakthroughs will reemerge in our great universities, despite Trump’s extortion and attempts to defund them. The most profound problems lie in “regulating” artificial intelligence. Recently it was reported in “Business Insider” “Anthropic said its next generation AI Model is too powerful for the public. That’s why “Claude Mythos” won’t be publicly released, Anthropic said. Anthropic said Mythos demonstrated concerning capabilities, including the ability to breach its own safeguards.” They go on to say: ”Instead, we are using it as part of a defensive cybersecurity program with a limited set of partners.”
Posted on the Neil DeGrasse Tyson site on Facebook: “American researchers developed a universal cancer vaccine that trains immune cells to hunt tumors forever. Early results from Stanford show the vaccine triggering complete remission in patients with advanced melanoma and pancreatic cancer previously considered nearly untreatable. The vaccine works by teaching T-cells to recognize a “fingerprint” common to 87% of all cancers.”
June presents to us economic trends that defy prediction, except to bet on extreme swings up and down on Wall Street. Thus, I would be on the sidelines for now. Jupiter goes into Leo on June 30th and will remain in this sign until July 26, 2027. This placement bodes well for energy, gold, and new technologies. I will discuss these trends in my next newsletter.
Final Thoughts:
A multitude of predictions made by science fiction authors seem to be emerging in the mass media, in books, in published papers, and in lectures throughout our nation. Their worst fears are now surfacing — that we will be “taken over” by AI — reminiscent of “the Borg” in “Star Trek” or Hal the Computer in “2001: A Space Odyssey.” Many think all this will result in ending human life on earth, as these massive inventions backfire on the humans who created them.
Humans have been predatory creatures since their emergence hundreds of thousands of years ago. Ruthless competition for resources; kings and dictators who wage wars that decimate populations, and the development of weapons of mass destruction, all point to our “doing ourselves in” and taking most life on earth down with us.
There is another side to human nature that lies at the core of the world’s great religions. The first American Pope Leo IV has emerged on the world scene, just in time to remind us that at the core of Christianity is the doctrine of absolute love that embraces all people, and holds the promise of the end of war and the possibility of a universal peace. Jesus taught that “The Kingdom of God lies within”. He represented the exact opposite of the multiple tribal wars and hating “all the others” who come from diverging races and cultures.
My take is that throughout American history, there have been a series of almost “magical” leaders who come from this tradition that would help us out of a moral “swamp” into the light. They remind us that this nation has stood alone in the world in the past for mutual respect, goodness, kindness, equality of opportunity, and freedom from tyranny. All this rises from Biblical scriptures that report Jesus accepted a Roman soldier, a tax collector, and a prostitute “into the Kingdom of Heaven”. The Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitudes are the core teachings of Christianity. These concepts are also present in many other world religions, but far too often ignored.
I think we have a chance, at this historic crossroads, to be the best of what humans can be: caring, compassionate, creative, loving. I see a new humanistic movement ahead – people coming together to restore the very best of what we can be.
