The Lunar Eclipse in Cancer meets the Saturn/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn

The Compassionate vs. The Powerful

According to “The Zodiac by Degrees” by Martin Goldsmith, this most important Jan. 10th Lunar Eclipse degree of the 21st degree of Cancer is described as: “A volunteer nurse attends a mortally wounded young soldier. Smiling down at him, she wipes off his brow and hums a little song.” The 23rd degree of Capricorn, where the Saturn/ Pluto conjunction occurs on Jan. 12th is described as: A respected leader pushes his way to the podium and delivers a rousing oration to a group of citizens.”

These symbolic placements are clearly reflecting the tone for the times we are in and the issues surrounding the coming presidential election in the United States. Planetary pictures also reflect a gathering storm of crises around the world revealing the concentration of money and power to the extent that many so-called democratic governments have become loathsomely corrupt, have been bought out by the global corporate and banking cartels, and have, in some instances, become unrecognizable. Other governments referred to as “Socialist” are actually run by ruthless dictators whose economies are collapsing.

The emergent political leaders have appealed to the populist backlash by blaming immigrants, those of different religions, ethnic groups and racial origins for the disappearance of jobs, the middle class, and the burgeoning numbers of the poor and homeless. The persecutions of the Uighurs in China, the crackdowns in Kashmir and the denial of rights of Muslims in India, and the detention of immigrants in the US from Central and South America are only a fraction of the events that have played out in recent years. Protests in Hong Kong, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Venezuela, Argentina, and many other nations throughout the globe are reflective of economic failures and attempts of those in power to suppress democracy.

The Mainstream Media vs. the Truth:

Here in America, the mainstream media constantly reiterates that – we have the lowest unemployment rate in over 50 years, the stock market is at all time highs, and we have low inflation. Thus, we are “officially’ in the middle of a great economy, are producing more millionaires than at any time in history, and the current “enemy” is “Socialism” that is reflected in programs presented by Democratic candidates Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Thus, the polls they are taking in connection with the coming presidential election should present “moderate” candidates that will not “shake up” what we have going, especially with respect to health care. The impeachment debacle is playing out as a fight between Democrats and Republicans and we all know that the Senate will vote not to remove the president from office. Trump is claiming he is presiding over the “greatest economy” in history.

The reality check reveals something quite different. People recorded as “employed” are often those who have two part time jobs with wages so low they cannot afford rent or health insurance. Those who lost jobs over the last several years but went off the unemployment rolls and have not been able to get full time employment are not counted. 137 million people are in a financial crisis due to medical debt. We have the lowest standards of healthcare in the developed world, while insurance companies and pharmaceutical corporations are reporting profits and stock prices at all-time highs.

So-called “low inflation” reports exclude food (prices rising) and housing costs so high that we have a homeless population not seen since the Great Depression of the 1930s. Young people are being graduated from college with loans to pay off the size of mortgages and entering a job market consisting of low or stagnant wages. In addition to all this, millions are being systematically and often unlawfully removed from voter registrations as recently reported in Wisconsin who had 250,000 removed from their polls. Too many others have no residence from which to enroll and others feel so defeated they do not pay attention to the election process or vote at all. If you are living in a homeless shelter or out of your car or in your sister’s basement, you may not “exist” at all.

The Bull Market:

I have predicted “corrections” in the stock market periodically, that have not happened. Why? Planetary pictures show cycles and probabilities, but the rest is up to people in power to make choices. The Fed has implemented interest rates that have fallen to near zero, making it possible for giant corporations to take out loans to buy back their own stock. Corporations are also leveraging themselves at these low rates to buy out smaller more innovative companies and create ever growing monopolies. With near zero rates in government treasuries, people are moving into the stock market rather than traditional “safe havens” for their money. This has created a debt crisis of monumental proportions for corporations and US sovereign wealth debt that is unsustainable. This has led to talk about reducing benefits from Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security that would effect about 1/3 of our population.

This year contains major planetary pictures that will bring all these crises to the surface. The Pluto/Saturn conjunction, and the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction will represent our having to face the realities that the world of finance and monopoly is a “club” and they have pulled up the ladder for anyone else.

The Looming Questions:

  1. Will we have a giant “debt forgiveness” or Jubilee in the US and around the world?

  2. Will we have a 1970s style stagflation and higher interest rates, essentially crashing the current stock market, leading to a serious depression?

  3. Will we create a global digital block chain currency, managed by a global banking cartel, eliminating the dollar that has been the worldwide currency since 1944?

Possible Solutions in the Age of Aquarius:

In 2019, a husband and wife pair of economists, Abhijit Banerjee and Ester Duflo together won the Nobel Prize in Economics for publishing their extensive research demonstrating two very profound discoveries. They wrote that there is no evidence that tax breaks for the rich helps an economy and that there is no evidence that giving to the poor stops them from working. These have been “assumptions” that have been around for hundreds of years and have influenced public thinking. Interestingly, some people running for office in the coming election are proposing an “income for life” and Medicare for all. Many people see this as far-fetched and unlikely to happen. With current economic models about to end, new solutions will have to be proposed.

The polarization between Capitalism and Socialism needs to be replaced by a balance between the two. We do not have to choose to be controlled by monopoly corporations, oligarchies and global banksters – or – a Communist style dictatorship consisting of a government controlling the economy. With Aquarius pointing the way, we may move toward the notion of equal opportunity for all, investing in a strong public infrastructure, and encouragement of small innovative businesses and more self-employment. The technology revolution eliminating jobs must be made to serve humanity, not eliminate wealth and instill endless poverty.

Climate change will be at the heart of governance and economies around the world, instilling the “Green Revolution” that will no longer be ignored. People will be immigrating from nations that are no longer sustainable to new locations. Nuclear fusion and the invention of the near-perfect battery will end the age of fossil fuel and supply endless amounts of energy around the globe. Young people, like Greta Thunberg, will lead the way through portals to a new world.

Nations in the Headlines:

Iran – has already started a new revolution that will be amplified between June 28, 2020 – Jan 7, 2021 with the transit of Mars in Aries that will retrograde and stay in the sign. Their current leadership will be deposed and replaced.

Israel – will likely get rid of its present leadership and bring new people into their government.

Afghanistan- that has always been fragmented, poor, and plagued by violence, will likely overthrow its present leadership and experience the US withdrawing its troops there. The US will continue to be be uncertain as to its strategy.

India and Pakistan – will be even more destabilized since Prime Minister Bodhi’s decision to further marginalize Muslims and isolate Kashmir. These are two nations armed with nuclear weapons.

No. Korea – is building more installations for nuclear warheads and weapons of mass destruction. With Neptune oppositions in their natal chart, their economic situation will grow worse, leading them to more drastic decisions.

China – has been incurring unsustainable debts, has had to deal with the democratic revolution in Hong Kong, and has been wrestling with tariffs in their trade with the US. With Mars transiting Sagittarius Jan. through mid-February, some of the tariffs will be removed, but their basic situation with declining economic growth, will not serve them well. However, their technological innovation will continue to grow, even with their hidden internal conflicts. The Jupiter/Saturn conjunction in Aquarius the end of this year will begin dramatic changes in their governance and severe environmental crises in this decade.

Final Thoughts:

There are decisions to be proposed, choices to be made, innovations to be expressed in this new dawning Aquarian age. Behind all the confusion and conflict expressing itself in the world, lies a truth that goes beyond this current mechanical format in which we all seem to be living. It is a universe of creation itself, to be accessed by simply caring about it! When we truly care about the earth and all that lives upon it, we open up all the possibilities, living together for each other.

Out of the blue – beyond the fogs of our despair – lies all the solutions to all things. Let’s get going!
